When you compare yourself to someone else, you reduce yourself, therefor reducing a sky full of stars to a single star and compare it to another star.
The human brain has more connections than there are stars in the Galaxy, yet when we compare ourselves to others we compare less than 1% of those connections with less than 1% of the connections of another person.
